A friend wanted to add a ridiculously large tail to his 1930s truck. He wanted it to rise and then spread out. It took three failed attempts to get a prototype design that would tilt and spread out without breaking. This design eventually failed when one bamboo culm touched the ground. Long-term plan is to create a mesh of individually addressable LEDs.
