Potential Materials for use within the grid

The 40mm grid system is “material agnostic” meaning that any material can be used to create parts or components. The system is indifferent, it just cares about dimensions.

With this in mind I was wondering what modular ceramic systems exist and I found these:

These ceramic modules would be great for not just buildings, but furniture and possibly machines (high temperatures, easy to clean etc)

How could other materials be used? Cloth? Rubber? Brass?

These are very cool, and yea important for a housing system built on a grid that the tiles in the house also work on that grid. Do you have any ideas how they could interface with the existing Grid Kit components?

I’ve been dreaming up a fabric system with a grid on it. Something that can both look attractive, and mark out a system for adding eyelets for a pop up tent, or for easily measuring and cutting things on the grid.
